Ankh 2 Heart of Osiris Vista freezing up

Ankh 2: Heart of Osiris Ch 2 Palace Wall
Ankh 2: Osiris Ch 2 pk-up Champagne Bottles
Ankh Osiris ch 2 entering kitchen elevator
etc.

Error message :
Ankh-OsirisHeart.exe is not responding.

{had to ctrl/alt/del to escape back to desktop.}

I am experiencing freezing-up almost everywhere I turn,
and it is beginning to be more frequent now.
Playing on Win. Vista SP2 32bit.
Prior to this, it played fine.
If you need any more information I will send what I can.
I'm not too computer savy.

Thanks for your response, I have gotten frustrated and taken the game totally off my computer, now it just collects dust.
Loved Ankh 1 and had no problem with it,
so can't understand why a newer release would give me so many.
I have had sporadic problems which thru perseverance was finally ablt
to get around.
But now am stuck in one place and no matter what I do it remains the same.
I can restart that sequence and carefully try to sneak past that point,
but to no avail.
Don't know if I have a bad disc, or if this is a known problem or what.
Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

Hi,

This is no known problem and therefore seems to be an issue with your PC. It could be low memory, an unsupported graphics card, low harddisc space, or even (if unlikely) a faulty installation from CD. If you can specify which graphics card you are using, how much memory you have installed, and possibly the free harddisc space, this might help further. Also, if you are running a firewall and/or antivirus program, you might switch them off to test if they are interfering with the game.

You can send the results over to info @ deck13.com.
Also, there are two log files which you can send us. They're stored in the folder "Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Applicationdata\Ankh - Heart of Osiris" (Win XP) or "Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ankh - Heart of Osiris" (Vista) and are called PinaDefaultLog and OgreLog. You can send these two files as well. They might give some hints on the problem.
